A model is trending when it shows significant ranking changes over 24 hours or 7 days. "Hot" models have sustained upward momentum, "rising" models improved recently, and "falling" models have dropped. New model releases also appear in the trending feed.
Trending data refreshes hourly. We compare each model's current rank against its position 24 hours and 7 days ago to calculate movement. New model entries are tracked from their first appearance in our database.
Ranking changes happen when competitors release updates, pricing changes occur, new benchmarks are added, or model capabilities are updated. A model can drop without getting worse — simply because a competitor improved.
