This tool estimates token counts using a ~4 characters per token approximation, which is widely accurate for English text across most major tokenizers (GPT, Claude, Gemini). Actual token counts may vary by 10-20% depending on the model's specific tokenizer, language, and content type. All pricing data is sourced from real-time API pricing and updated hourly.
